Attention
To ensure long-term operation of the swivel shackle it is not allowed to expose it to loads not in line with the rotation axis, and to disassemble and assemble it locally without further testing on special test rigs.
The swivel shackle is used in the anchor handling arrangements of ships and floating facilities in Arctic conditions under temperatures down to -50 °C. Chains and accessories in Arctic versions of grades 2W and 3W are made of special alloy steel with subsequent heat treatment.
