To ensure long-term operation of the swivel shackle it is not allowed to expose it to loads not in line with the rotation axis, and to disassemble and assemble it locally without further testing on special test rigs.
The swivel shackle is intended to connect the anchor chain to the anchor stock without using the anchor shackle. It prevents anchor chain from twisting during anchor dropping and retrieving.
The swivel shackle type A has a simpler and more reliable design than the standard swivel shackle. It is manufactured from forgings by machining.
