Single-Leg Sling

The sling is used for lifting, holding and moving compact loads with measurable centre of mass that do not require several attachment points. Load can be both hooked or secured by means of a loop.

  • Safety factor: 4
  • Temperature conditions for using 100% sling capacity, °С: Slings grade 3: from -20 to +300; Slings grade 5, 8, 10 from -40 to +200
  • Maximum weight of handled load, t: 63

Sling Classification According to Material Strength Properties

Sling chain grade Chain link stress, kgf/mm2 (MPa)
at maximum capacity at break load
3 up to 8,8 (87,5) up to 35,7 (350)
5 up to 12,75 (125) up to 51,0 (500)
8 up to 20,5 (200) up to 82 (800)
10 from 25 (245) from 100 (980)

Coating
PPS — ISO 12944-5 paint coating
Colour according to the regulatory and technical documentation and grade.
Fe/Zn — ISO 2081 galvanized zinc coating
The coating is intended to protect bare metal from corrosion, aggressive media and to reduce wear.

Standard
The sling is produced according to the manufacturer’s documentation and meets DIN EN 818-4. It is completed with chains manufactured under DIN EN 818-2 with increased strength characteristics. Sling development accommodates requirements to loads and operating conditions specified at order.

See the «Lifting Capacity Depending on Chain Diameter and Grade» table on page 21 of the catalogue.

L at the end stands for sling length and is specified at order. The type of gripping device (hook, shackle or oval link) attached to the sling is specified at order.
