The swivel is used in the anchor handling arrangements of ships and floating facilities in Arctic conditions under temperatures down to -50 °C. It is one of the anchor shot components and is manufactured by hot stamping. The swivel corrects chain twisting and ensures its smooth stowing into the chain locker.
