During operation the chain suffers natural wear in the link contact area, so it is necessary to regularly check link diameter in the knuckle. Chains with wear above 0,9d mm in the link contact area are prohibited to operate.
The chain is used for securing monorail runways and piping systems in underworkings. Grade 8 chains are manufactured of alloy steel with subsequent heat treatment and demonstrate high resistance to abrasion in the articulation area, as well as good balance between strength and plasticity.
